One of the great things about hosting couchsurfers, is that I don’t need to leave my home to get a taste of another country! When I hosted Edith earlier this term, the young Panamanian student had a special treat to whiz up for me; Arroz con Pinas… Quite simply rice with pineapple (it reminded me of an exciting tasting rice pudding)! But it’s a drink! A traditional Panamanian one. My exotic couchsurfer was kind enough to leave the recipe (which is actually her grandmothers), so I can post it another time for you to try your hand at this creamy dreamy comfort drink.
