Educate a Girl, Educate a Society

Public Meeting

Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

The Abbey centre, 34 Great Smith Street,

WESTMINISTER, LONDON, SW1P 3BU

The aim of the Meeting is to explore ways of supporting Ethiopian girls to enter and stay in higher education.

There will be workshops on the following topics:

a) Policy Implementation

b) Diaspora Remittances

c) Funding

d) Skills Transfer

Target audience: Ethiopian, and those interested in educational and global African infrastructural issues.

It is hoped that there will be an exchange of ideas and good practice between Ethiopians, other Africans, policy makers, friends of Ethiopia and funders, to find ways of supporting Ethiopian girls.

BTWSC for WHEAT MST

BTWSC is a pan-London voluntary organisation that uses the creative arts to develop potential, raise aspirations, and promote social inclusion. It works with youths, adults and inter-generational audiences. Its core areas of delivery cover music industry, event planning, and African history education and programmes. WHEAT MST provides one to one mentoring/befriending support to refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and other vulnerable adults with different needs or W.H.E.A.T needs:
