Fashion film director and former French Vogue columnist, Diane Pernet, was spotted wearing a vintage coat made from Gorilla fur at Paris Fashion Week.

The fashion editor defended her possession of the gorilla fur coat in a 2011 entry for her influential blog A Shaded View on Fashion.

3 out of the world’s 4 gorilla species have been deemed ‘critically endangered’. Gorillas share 98% of their DNA with humans.
