As art students, we’re great at mustering creativity. And it extends to our Student Union reps too!
SUARTS newly re-elected President Shelly Asquith and the team have been making creative ‘rubbish’ posters to send out a strong clean message to University of the Arts (UAL) Vice Chancellor – we want a Living Wage for our cleaners!
The VC will be meeting staff during his all staff forum events, the GMB and students at UAL will be demonstrating to demand the cleaners at the university, who are currently paid the minimum wage, are paid the London Living Wage.
Join the protest at Chelsea College of Art this afternoon (now) at the parade ground (as we apparently aren’t allowed in the building – update from Education Officer Hannah Roberts).
Kudos to all those who got dirty with creativity – the posters look fab! Lets hope the VC get the message clearly – LIVING WAGE 4 our cleaners!
