I was a wrapStar for a night out in Mayfair at the new club Kitsch on Swallow Street, W1.
The invitation was extended to me by my partner in clubbing-crime; actor and events organiser Luigi Consoli.
Unfortunately neither of us were feeling the badly mixed commercialised music Luigi described as being ‘old’. And even though I consider myself to be open-minded when it comes to music (I learnt to love house music by going out with Luigi on numerous occasions), I wasn’t prepared to dance to music disrespecting my godly private parts – even I have my exceptions!
So my night as a wrapStar ended early, but not before actually feeling like a star when one of the guys working there approached me like an excited fan saying he saw me at Bar Salsa on Charing X road a few nights ago… How nice of him to go out of his way to inform me… And I didn’t even get his name!
That was my short-lived night as a wrapStar in Mayfair rocking a simple headwrap like my African ancestors would have!
WrapStars do have more fun 😉
